At home Noeleen spoke Xhosa; at school she was taught in English; the area in which she grew up was predominantly Afrikaans in the Cape .

In 1988 Noeleen was the English newsreader for Radio Transkei.

During the next 16 years behind a microphone in Radio 702 from 1994; first as a reporter, then news editor then talk host.

In 2003 Noeleen swapped a microphone at 702 talk radio for the small screen. Noeleen is the host of TV talk show, 3TALK WITH NOELEEN, on SABC 3. She is known for her honesty and ability to ask candid questions with compassion.

Noeleen graduated from UNISA in June 2003 from an Executive Development Programme in which she got four distinctions. Her latest project is a training company with two other woman whose aim it is to help women ‘under construction'. HIRS as the company facilitates workshops for women focusing on financial development, career assistance, self-development, integrity and the ‘wow' factor.
