Post Secondary Awards

Our final event for the year was our annual end of year function and Award Ceremony that took place on the 15th of November 2014. This is always a day of fun and is a great time to acknowledge and celebrate all that our students have achieved for the year. This year our guest speaker was Justice Edwin Cameron, a Judge of the Constitutional Court, who shared his own journey with our students. There was also a photo booth for the students to dress up and take photos,and a lovely meal. It was a wonderful day.

Below is the list of awards that the well deserving students received:

  • Award for Most Resilient Student- Kennedy Lekoko and Penelope Lekgau
  • Award for Most Disciplined Student- Vincent Simelane and Bomikazi Ndovela
  • Award for Giving Back- Godfrey Tshela and Nobuhle Mazibuko
  • Award for Outstanding Character – Nishaam Pretorious and Zanele Mahlangu
  • Award for Excellent Commitment- Prince Rathupa and Immaculate Lefifi
  • Award for Best Attitude- Sipho Kebeni and Judith Mhlanga
  • Award for Most Improved Academics:Diploma – Tiro Mashile and Beauty Sello
  • Award for Most Improved Academics:Degree- Kgomotso Beetha and Prudence Kgapane
  • Award for Most Consistent Academic Performance:Diploma- Akani Mabunda and Ongeziwe Manjati
  • Award for Most Consistent Academic Permance:Degree- Lebohang Mookamedi and Tabisa Sowazi
  • Award for Tenacity- Caeser Mohlami

We also Celebrated the achievements our Golden Key recipients: They are among the top 15% across each institution:

  • Vuyisile Tshangela (2nd year Medicine, Wits)
  • Vincent Simelane (2nd year BA Law, University of Johannesburg)
  • Poshy Mpai (2nd year  Medicine Wits)
  • Linda Mahlangu (2nd year BA Law, UJ). Appointed Community Engagemnet Director of Golen Key
  • Lebohang Mookamedi (2nd year Medicine, Wits)
  • Tabisa Sowazi (2nd year Bcom Economics, UP)

The Tomorrow Trust Spirit award went to:

  • Sango Ntintili
  • Linda Mahlangu

We are grateful to Justice Edward Cameron who addressed the group, and shared his own journey. Much fun was had by all!
