The Tomorrow Trust has been chosen as Build-a Bear’s CSI project so we have been invited to attend the opening of all the new stores with the children from the Foundation Phase Holiday Schools Programme. We attended the Clearwater opening in Roodepoort on Friday the 6th July. Every child was able to build there own teddy bear and dress it in a T-shirt and shorts. The children were so excited to be able to build their own teddy bear and take it home at the end of the day as most of these children have never owned a teddy bear before. Build-a-Bear gave the children funpacks containing sweets and a fruit juice and also supplied a face painter to keep the children amused. We took the children from Ikageng Itireleng AIDS Ministry to the Clearwater opening and will take the children from Hope Worldwide to the opening of the Sandton Store on the 25th July. The Eastrand Store opening is scheduled for the 31st August.
